Policy Watch
Although Mark Carney is only six months into his term as Prime Minister, three key policies currently under consideration, Bill C-2, C-8 and C-9, originate from Trudeau’s government and carry significant, potentially authoritarian implications for all Canadians.
Bill C-2 (Strong Borders Act): Although Bill C-2 was split into two bills, C-2 and C-12, Bill C-2 is still alive, and if it passes, it would allow authorities to access Canadians’ personal information without a warrant, severely undermining privacy and due process protections.
Bill C-9 (Combatting Hate Act): If passed, Bill C-9 would expand criminal penalties for speech and protest, remove safeguards like Attorney General oversight, and risk suppressing freedom of expression and assembly.

Bill C-8 (Cybersecurity Legislation): If passed, Bill C-8 could allow the government to revoke Canadians’ internet access and weaken encryption without proper due process, giving authorities unprecedented control over digital communications.

Bullish Winds Blow Into Q4

If the market feels unusually optimistic right now, that’s because it is. As Q4 unfolds, both the U.S. and Canadian economies are catching a wave of momentum — rate cuts, strong earnings, and a lot of cash waiting to move.
The Bank of Canada is expected to lower rates toward 2.00–2.25% by year-end, and the Fed is doing the same. That means cheaper borrowing and more confidence across the board. Historically, Q4 has been the strongest quarter since 1950, delivering positive returns about 70% of the time. Add to that the $7.4 trillion sitting in U.S. money markets (and another $100 billion in Canada), and you can see why analysts are calling this a setup for another leg higher.
Now, let’s talk gold. It’s surged past $4,000, up over 50% this year. Gold’s rise is a signal: markets are uneasy about government spending, debt, and currency stability. For conservatives, it’s a reminder that fiscal discipline still matters. Canada’s gold miners have quietly benefited too, with the sector up 130% year-to-date, giving the TSX a welcome boost.
But where does it go from here? Many analysts expect that once gold cools off, some of that momentum could shift toward Bitcoin and crypto. With new crypto ETFs on the horizon and Bitcoin following its usual four-year cycle, another breakout could be closer than most people think.
Markets are unpredictable, but the mood heading into the final stretch of 2025 feels clear: the bulls are in control.

Conservative Living
THE BATTLE FOR INFLUENCE IS WON OR LOST IN THE FIRST HOUR OF YOUR DAY.

If we want to change society, the first step is changing ourselves. Influence isn’t given. It’s built by people who are sharper, more disciplined, and more intentional than everyone else. That kind of edge doesn’t happen by accident. It starts the moment you wake up.
Every morning, you face a choice: react to the world or set the tone for it. The first path leads to distraction. The second builds confidence, clarity, and control.
History is full of people who mastered their mornings. Tim Cook starts before sunrise to think without interruption. Benjamin Franklin began each day asking, “What good shall I do this day?” Indra Nooyi mapped her mornings in quiet reflection. None of them relied on luck. Instead, they understood that mornings matter.
The good news: you don’t need to wake up at 4 a.m. to benefit. You just need structure.
1. Begin with stillness.
Take five minutes to pray, reflect, or read something grounding. It’s a reminder that you set the tone for your day, not your notifications.
2. Move your body.
A short walk or stretch is enough. Movement builds energy and discipline — the foundation of leadership.
3. Set your priorities.
Write down the top three things that matter today. It keeps you focused and makes you act with intention, not reaction.
Here’s what most people forget: these tips aren’t new. But sometimes, hearing them again is what makes them stick. Repetition works. It’s how ideas become habits and habits become identity.
Studies from University College London show it takes around 66 days to make a habit automatic. Some say 90. The number doesn’t matter. What matters is sticking with it until it feels like part of you. If you still dread it, you’re not there yet. Keep going. Every repetition rewires you.
These small routines aren’t just about productivity. They’re about power. When we live sharper, stronger, and more intentional lives, we rise to positions of influence. And influence is how we shape culture and the future.
CSC Challenge:
Pick one ritual. Stick to it for 90 days. Track your progress. Then see how much stronger, clearer, and more confident you feel.
OWN YOUR MORNINGS. OWN YOUR FUTURE.
